I was rewatching a Tamil movie titled 'Kilakku Cheemayilae' casted by Radhika, Napolean and Vijaykumar... In that movie, Radhika was repeating battered by her husband fighting over for her family wealth... I mean, why are women always the prime targets? Some husbands abuse their wives verbally, physically and mentally... Some treat women as punchbags. Oh a good example is 'Provoked' where the wife was showered with abuses repeatedly from her husband... The movie also depicted dowry issues. I still don t understand the rationale behind the dowry issue. And a heavy wedding expenditure is to be bored by the bride's family... Only very few families don t accept dowry and this is rampant among the Indian families... I wish this situation could be reversed.
